I've been looking for fake mustaches. I found them online but I would have to pay about $15 with shipping. That is a lot for fake mustache fun. I figured out I could make them out of stiffened felt with self adhesive on one side. I simply drew the 'tache on the side with the paper for the adhesive and cut. Our local library offers a card making class before Christmas.The kids love making their own cards.They have all the supplies, including lots of glitter.The kids even helped each other get supplies. I made this wreath after seeing some on Pinterest. It was pretty easy to do too. I used a wire hanger to hold the Christmas balls. Just twist wire at the end and cover with a big bow. I decided to try to make prints with the kids. I brought floral foam blocks from the dollar store. I then cut it into 3 pieces so the kids could make more designs.We used the end of the paint brush to "carve" the foam. Make the designs thick and simple to show up. The first activity we did when we got to Newport, Rhode Island last weekend was go on the Cliff Walk. The views were gorgeous. First tale:Dave's coworker found a dead mouse in her car. She did the normal thing and had her husband remove it. Still the car smelled. She took the car to the garage. Caitlin loves dresses. She still wants to wear them even when she outgrows them. We have found a good compromise. She can still wear them if she wears bike shorts underneath. We were suppose to go to Newport, Rhode Island to celebrate our 10th anniversary but Hurricane Irene had other plans. We were stuck home. I decided to prepare for the hurricane by renting a movie, buying lots of snacks and rum. We live far enough inland and far enough away from water that we really didn't have to worry about flooding from Irene. We luckily only lost a few tree branches.

We learned to swim underwater. We did lots of light sabering. We took a trip to the aquarium. We made and used side walk paint. We got our faces painted. We ran. We slipped and slid. The kids and I got to go to an aquarium last week. I love to see them learn and explore. I also love to see my budding photographer take photos of all the cool creatures we saw. Go see Leigh vs. Laundry to see more photos that will make you happy. This is 22 out of 52 for me.
