Sunflowers always make me happy. In fact I call them the "happy flowers." This year I grew my own. I've tried before but they would always get eaten. I thought it was the deer or rabbits but after researching, I discovered that it was actually the birds. The birds will eat the sunflower leaves when they are little/just sprouted. I put nets over them this year and they finally thrived.
Looking at my sunflowers makes me happy.
