Charging Reindeer

The kids got to wear reindeer antlers for their Christmas party. Davey decided he was a charging reindeer. Yup, that is my kid!

Christmas Joy!

We had a wonderful Christmas. There is nothing like seeing the smiles on the kids faces when they see the tree on Christmas morning.
The blaster is one of Davey's favorite gifts. It makes lots of noise and will surely drive me to drink. Thanks Nana and Grandpa.
Caitlin loved her Easy Bake Oven. She made us all red velvet cake.

I loving seeing the kids' joy. That is my greatest present on Christmas.

The Polar Express

We took our first ride on the Polar Express this weekend.
The kids were genuinely excited to ride the Polar Express.
I know that the kids will not always believe in the magic of Christmas. A friend's son was told on the bus that Santa is not real. I was told in first grade too. I'm thankful that they believe this year. I hope no one spoils that soon.
I hope that they still want to cuddle next year too.
I'm happy that this year is still magical.

Christmas Meme

Finally got around to writing up the Christmas meme that is floating around out there.

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? hot chocolate

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? He obviously has elves wrap them, of course.

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? I like both. This year they are colored.

4. Do you hang mistletoe? No but I had a "mistletoad" as a kid.

5. When do you put your decorations up? Day after Thanksgiving.

6. What is your favorite holiday dish? My stuffing and ribbon cake.

7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child? Playing with my brother with our new toys.

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? A 3rd grader told me when I was in 1st grade. Sad :(

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? We open gifts from the grandparents. Things got crazy with everyone exchanging on Christmas day. Santa's presents are opened on Christmas, of course.

10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree?We have lots of homemade ornaments from the kids, ones we brought when we got married, and lots from when we traveled.

11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? Love it at first. By February I'm hating it.

12. Can you ice skate? Yes but not well.

13. Do you remember your favorite gift? I can't remember a favorite. I like them all.

14. What’s the most important thing about the Holidays for you? Food and family.

21. Saddest Christmas Song? Silent Night

22. What is your favorite Christmas song? Baby Its Cold Outside sung by Zoey Deschanel. Love her voice.

Hand Made Cards

Our local library offers a card making class before Christmas.
The kids love making their own cards.
They have all the supplies, including lots of glitter.
The kids even helped each other get supplies. It was nice to see them do something besides fight.
Seeing the kids making cards for friends and family makes me happy.

Some Chirstmas Favorites

I made this wreath after seeing some on Pinterest. It was pretty easy to do too. I used a wire hanger to hold the Christmas balls. Just twist wire at the end and cover with a big bow. Viola!
I love these candy cane Kisses. They are so good. Like eat the whole bag good.
If you love sugar cookies, you are going to love this Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride tea. It is totally like drinking a sugar cookie. Love it. I actually went back after drinking it and brought 5 boxes. I think it will disappear after the holidays.

Disclosure: No company paid me for this review. These are totally my own opinions. But if Celestial or Hershey want to send my more of those products I wouldn't send them back.
