Nature Walk

Caitlin and I went for a walk at a linear park a day after the torrential rains. We were happy to get out of the house even if the weather was still a little dreary.Caitlin likes to "fly" on the trails.
The long grasses that got pushed down by all the water.
Caitlin stopped to write down observations like her favorite explorers from the Magic Tree House books.
We stopped for a Reeses break. That is my kind of walk.
There were lots of downed branches and twigs. Caitlin spotted this letter "F."
Pretty grass.
Caitlin commented that this tree looks like it might house a leprechaun. I couldn't help but edit one in.

What a nice thing to do - I'll save that for warmer weather.

I love that you do this! I need to fix my stroller and get going, for health and for appreciating and enjoying the outdoors! My son likes to "fly", too :)

It's almost getting warm enough for that here. Thanks for the inspiration.

Too funny that you edited that in! That looks like a really great place to explore.

It's always better to fly!

We love Magic Tree House. Last year Princess had a class at Village Home where we read one book each week and they did activities that related. It was pretty darn cool.
