Joyful Dancing and a Carefree Lunch

Photobucket
We turned on the Christmas music this week. The kids had a blast dancing around.
The joyful dancing and unprompted kisses make me happy.

We started a babysitting exchange with a couple of our friends. We babysit their two kids and in return they babysit ours. We started the exchange this week. Dave and I took advantage of the free babysitting and went out to lunch by ourselves. We went to one of our favorite restaurants which is always way more relaxing without the kids. We also did a little Christmas shopping. It is so nice to check a couple more people off our shopping list. We totally enjoyed our first babysitting exchange. We plan on doing this 1-2 times a month.

I highly suggest trying to set an exchange up. We have started out by babysitting for 2 hours at a time to make sure the kids didn't freak out. Neither of our kids have been babysat by anyone other than family. We have been in a playgroup with each other for years, so the kids and moms know each other pretty well.

This is date 36 out of 52 for us. Go to Simply Modern Mom to join in on the fun.

So cute. We had a scene like that at our house this week playing nutcracker music. Lots of fun.

Dancing children is always the absolute best thing. :)

The exchange sounds like a great idea to me! Getting out as a couple is super important, even if you have two little dancers at home!

Nothing like spontaneous fun with the kids!

We used to do the babysitting exchange thing, too. It was GREAT.

I love how much they care for each other! I don't love Christmas music though ;-)

Thumbs up for Christmas dancing ! I cranked up the tunes as well and danced while baking.

Oh how cute! We are at the stage now where our oldest can baby sit for us for a couple hours at a time! I smell a little freedom coming our way:)

That is so incredibly smart to do things that way. I was shocked when my niece told me she makes about $8 an hour babysitting for one child. How can anybody afford to go on dates with those rates?

The kids are so cute!
