Fitness Friday is Back!

I haven't post a Fitness Friday in a while because it was a little depressing to do. I've fallen off the fitness and nutrition bandwagon a bit. Today is as good a day as any to start taking control again. I am vowing to exercise everyday in the month of December. I plan on doing Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred a lot. I can't manage to do it every day but I plan on 3-4 times a week. I will also try to jog, do other Jillian Michael's DVDs, and a low impact activity on my resting day.

The 30 Minute Shred is great to do by itself on days when I am short on time. Yesterday I would usually have skipped a workout between volunteering at Caitlin's school and work but I forced myself to do the Shred after the kids went to bed. I felt great about doing that although Jillian kicked my butt during the Shred.

I am also going to try to control my diet again. I spent 2 weeks trying a gluten free diet to see if it would help with my Hashimoto's. It didn't seem to make much of a difference or at least not enough to continue to eat gluten free. Although this is a super hard time of the year to lose weight I'm going to give it a shot. I plan on tracking my calories and eating a healthy well balanced diet. More salad and less cookies is my new motto. Wish me luck.

Ahhhhhhhh. You inspire me to get moving again. I'm on a diet right now too (I hit a "shedding pounds" wall after having the baby) so I finally decided to get serious about trying a new nutrition diet. It's been okay because it allows me to eat snacks b/w meals which is a must for me. Okay, that's a lie--it stinks. I miss desserts and french fries. Isn't there a diet out there that allows us to eat french fries??

You are motivating me today so thank you!

You can do it!! It's all about moderation, though it's easier said than done... but girl, you can do it!! :) You're an inspiration! The workout is what I need to do.

Good for you! I started a weighloss incentive at work last Monday it will be nice to hopefully lose some over the holidays. I may have to check out the shred!

Oh it is so hard to eat well this time of year! We made cookies yesterday..I don't think there will be any left by tomorrow!

Yeah you for your Fitness Friday, maybe I will try to get back on that treadmill again in the new year:)

Good for you! I recently started {again} skipping the cookies in favor of salad. I need to get back doing 30 Day Shred, yoga, and jogging. It was really working for me.

I was just telling my friend today that I need to try gluten free again to see if I can avoid medication. I also lasted exactly 2 weeks the last time. If only there were other possibilities other than medication!! that's the only thing I've read about even remotely helping although even that is in debate and not believed by MD's..
