Hello Mr. Ed and Eggs at Home

Photobucket
I was driving by this farm on Sunday and stopped on the side of the road to take photos of their beautiful horses in the field. This horse came galloping over to say hi. He scared the bejesus out of me. I think he was probably hoping I had an apple but when a huge horse comes running at you it is a little frighting. I guess you can tell I'm not a farm girl. After I got over my fright, I was happy to observe him eating grass and leaves. They are so beautiful.
Be sure to go Leigh vs Laundry to see more photos that are bound to make you happy.

We decided to make breakfast at home this week. The eggs may not have been as pretty as those when we eat out but they tasted just as good. We ate yummy omelets and shredded potatoes while we watched an episode of the Amazing Race. We love that show. It is fun to decide how we would handle challenges differently. We also discuss how awful some of the couples treat each other when under stress. I'm glad we don't snap at each other like some of the couples do. It was nice to eat together without having to attend to the kids' needs. After the show ended, we enjoyed the silence. Sitting in silence can be so satisfying.

This is date 34 out of 52 for us. Go to Simply Modern Mom to join in on the fun.

I bet that horse gave you a big old snort of disgust when he discovered you didn't have any treats for him, didn't he. Horses are so funny. And beautiful. Especially on a fall day. Nice picture.

He would have terrified me, too! But he sure is a pretty creature.

Oh I love your happiness photo because I love horses! Being raised around them it's odd to me for someone to be startled by one. However, I know things I haven't been around say like taxis or subways would leave me startled.

Love the horse photo, but really love the eggs. That sounds like a wonderful date. I think I will steal that from you.

I've always loved horses. I used to ride as a child, but it would rattle my bones too much these days...

=)

John and i would be one of those awful couples... I'm pretty sure the amazing race would end in divorce. Thank goodness I don't have any plans to try to be on the show. :)

He's gorgeous !
Horses frighten me a bit because they are so big. But I find them very beautiful.

Horses are huge! I have a very healthy respect for their size :) Some are very docile but I've seen them kick and bite out of nowhere. Happy WW

I really like the Amazing Race, but have a hard time watching people treat each other so badly.

Oh that makes me miss my Oreo. She was so sweet. Black and White (hence the name). I always go for the mixed ones. You'd never think I grew up on a farm, eh?

Horses are scary. Period.

Loved that you stopped on the road to take the picture! I have so many moments where I either wish I had my camera with me or when I do have it, say to myself that I should stop to take that picture and don't! I need to stop more often!
