Panda Art and A Football Date

We had another repeat date. Yup. Breakfast on a preschool morning. We really could do a review of all the breakfast dinners in town. But I keep our location rather vague. I was sick on our date day. I wasn't up for anything more than breakfast. But I'm enjoying our breakfast mornings. We get to talk, reconnect, and enjoy a meal without tending to our kids' seemingly endless needs. But that date doesn't really count since it was another repeat.

We had an almost dinner date but we had the kids with us so it didn't count. Although the kids are getting better at behaving at restaurants. If they stayed under the table throughout the meal, would that count?

So we had a football date on Monday. We watched the Patriots vs. the Dolphins. My husband loves the Pats and the rest of us kinda have to. Usually I'm either working or busy with the kids but it was nice to watch a game with Dave without all the distractions. He loves it so much. He doesn't mind explaining plays and strategy which make watching the game more fun. We cheered for the Pats and made fun of the Dolphins. I discovered a new player to cheer for, Danny Woodhead. He is only 5' 9". He looks tiny next to the other players but he made several key plays. We ate nachos and drank (root) beer . I need to watch some games are become a football widow. I actually enjoyed watching and promised we will have more football dates soon.
This is date 29 out of 52 for us. Go to Simply Modern Mom to join in on the fun.

It took Honey along time to realize keeping connected to each other without the kids was so important. Our relationship is so much better now that we have time to ourselves to talk! Which in turn makes us better parents. Win win

I love eating out for breakfast. I think it is great that you are intentionally doing that on a preschool morning.

Your daughter's art makes me happy too. And a football date - you are definitely a good woman. My husband and I have just come to an agreement. He tried to suggest that we go just to the game, but I told him that I actually enjoyed the tail gating part a lot more than the game. He laughed.

We've turned the door of Griffin's room into an art gallery with rotating shows. He feels like a true artist.

Yours is quite the little artist as well.

Hahaha! Your kid's panda looks just like my kid's cat. I <3 kid drawings. And I <3 doing anything undisturbed with The Man. We really need to participate in this date thing. It's such a good idea.

Dates sound wonderful...I love that you make it a priority to spend time together, just the two of you.

That's one of the best art works I've seen in a long time.
