I miss sick days. I don't miss being sick. I feel lucky that I am healthy but I miss being able to take a day off when I had a cold to just relax and watch bad television. Since having kids, sick days don't exist. If I'm sick, I still have to tend to their seemingly endless needs. Seriously, how needy can two kids be?
Since I have had the kids, I think I have been too sick to take care of them twice. (Ok, three times if you count Davey's cesarean birth.) Those two times also took place on a weekend so Dave was home to take care of the kids. My body seems to know not to break down until a weekend. As a kid, I often had perfect attendance and got really sick during vacations. I got chicken pox over the summer vacation and the flu over Christmas break.
I miss watching Maury Povich to see who is not the father. I miss cuddling under the down cover. I miss doing nothing.

I miss being able to just sleep and lie around when I'm sick. Somehow, the kids still need taken care of, though.
Maury will probably still be doing paternity tests in 10 years so you'll be able to get your fix in then ;-)
I feel for you though. I got in lots of R&R while VC was working at the RenFest this weekend. They are out and working before you know it!
I hope you feel better soon. It's SO hard to care for other people when you're sick!
I had to laugh at your Maury statement. He always does those shows, always!
I know right! Those sick days seem almost decadent now that we can't have them anymore!
I know exactly what you mean!
