The Pumpkin Bugs
My garden is pretty much done. I'm getting a handful of tomatoes a week. I grew pumpkins for the first time this year. I got big vines but only one pumpkin. These bugs attacked the vines and ate the vines practically overnight.
Fortunately I was able to save this little pumpkin.

I've never heard of pumpkin bugs but what a great shot!
Darn bugs! Gardening would be so much easier without all of the pests! Nice pumpkin though!

We had the same bugs!!! They destroyed the garden. These pics were taken when the bugs were "babies" and now they have grown/changed and look exactly like the pictures you posted. You can see my post and frustration here:
