Watching fireworks from the beach made me happy this week.

We had a ridiculously simple but wonderful date this week. We grabbed the baby monitor and we went swimming in the backyard when the kids were sleeping. Swimming with the kids is fun. It is great to see Caitlin show off her best dog paddle and having Davey cling to you like a koala bear is fun too. But it was great to just be able to swim, float, and talk like adults too. We even had some adult beverages. It was wonderfully relaxing and we will definitely do this again this summer.
Note to self: Really need to get citronella candles. We had to come inside after about an hour.

There is nothing better than fireworks from the beach. Unless maybe you are on a boat.
