The Summer Bag

I had an emergency summer bag in my car since I had a car. During college, that bag contained a bikini, towel, and a tooth brush. I never knew what adventures would occur. Impromptu trips out of town were the norm back in the day.

Oh how times have changed.

Now this is the contents of my much bigger summer bag:
a change of clothes for the boy and the girl
swimsuits for the kids
sunscreen
bug spray
3 extra pairs of underpants and shorts for the potty training boy
wet wipes
towels
sweatshirts for the kids
A plethora of kid friendly snacks

I guess I still don't know what adventures the day may bring. I just need more stuff to have fun with the kids.

Not as much fun now...or at least, a different kind of fun!

Wow you are prepared! You would think that after six kids I would be more prepared. I am lucky to have kleenex and wet wipes in the car.

We have a summer bag too that I can throw in the trunk of the car in a moment's notice. Along with my beach lounge chair and the latest issue of Martha Stewart Living...

I was just telling my husband we need to make one of these. We were already caught off guard at our friends house with no bathing suits for the kids.
