Before: "Hippy hair" to quote my husband.
Now: A fresh buzz cut for spring. The best part we discovered he does not have a lumpy head as we feared. We figured we should do the buzz cut now when his friends are too young to make fun of him if he was lumpy.
Be sure to go Leigh vs Laundry to see more photos that are bound to make you happy.

Project 52: Date Nights logo

We watched the movie Couples Retreat for our date this week. The premise is one couple is having difficulties with their marriage and want to go Eden Resort West to work on their marriage. They can not afford it so they ask three couples to join them so they can get the group rate. The other couples finally agree although they think they will be exempt from the marriage counseling portion of the trip. They soon learn they will not be exempt. We, the viewers, soon learn that all the couples could use the counseling. The movie is a comedy. There are lots of laughs and problems are solved fairly easily. It is a shame real life problems are not as easily solved.

We have been looking forward to watching this for a while. We love Vince Vaughn. We both liked the movie. But we have decided that watching movies are not good date nights though. We don't talk much during the movie and we are usually too tired to do much after the movie. It is an improvement that we both stayed awake for the whole movie. So we will probably skip movie watching as our date nights from now on.

This is date 10 out of 52 for us. Go to Simply Modern Mom to join in on the fun.

Nice buzzzzzzzzzzz. Ever since the curls showed up on my Buddy Boy's head, The Man has insisted on keeping his hair super short. I'm rebelling this summer. I'm letting his strawberry blond locks grow & grow & grow. I can't wait until they're down to his shoulders!

We watched that movie last weekend as well and thought it was pretty cute. Not as funny as some Vince Vaughn stuff, but good.

I'll have to get this movie at RedBox. The previews looked hilarious. Davey looks so cute with his buzz cut and that is good there are no lumps ;)

We have been wanting to watch this-now I think we definitely will.
I feel the same way about movies for dates--I almost always fall asleep.

good idea to skip movies for date night. I feel the same way. You just sit there and veg without much interaction

That sounds like my type of movie (although not sure I'd get my husband to be so positive about it!). I agree with the date night movie thing - one of the reasons I'm enjoying date night is the increase in talking and a movie just doesn't lead to talking - at least not for me as I'm sure to fall asleep.

Love the new hair cut he's very cute and looks very pleased with himself - I'm trying yet again to get rid of my 2 year olds hippy hair (he's refused all haircuts for over a year) - hoping for good things xo
