Kids are Good for Your Self-Esteem. Not!

It is not the first thing I notice when I look at myself. In fact until very recently I didn't even notice them.

Yesterday Caitlin drew a picture of the whole family. This is the picture she drew.

I never felt self conscious of the lines on my forehead till Caitlin showed me how prominent she thinks they are.

I think I'm going to start wearing a lot of hats or maybe wear my hair like this:

LOL I'm not laughing at you. I'm laughing with you. I swear! :-D

Yep, kids do wonders for our self-esteems! I love when my youngest tells me I have a big butt. Yeah, that's just great. :-P

Aren't they amazing?!

My niece Mya said, "it's okay if you want to wear your swimsuit grandma...I'll make sure the other kids don't laugh at your wrinkly skin" OUCH!

So innocent! :)

Oh please! You look fantastic!!!

My oldest daughter has asked me more than once when she is "going to get those cool lines on her forehead"... :/

I don't see any thing on your forehead but I know what you mean about kids and self-esteem. My kids tell me I have a jelly belly (squishy). Ouch!

Gotta love kids. Mine point out my stretch marks.

Hey, when I try to respond to one of your comments, the email bounces back to me. Maybe something is off on your email address?

You are too funny!
I think, honestly, that our kids STUDY us. My girls know every line, every zit, every birthmark on my face and body...

Forehead wrinkles are the reason I cut bangs!!!

Oh my daughter makes it a point almost daily to remind me in her sweet voice and of course it must be when we are in a crowded place that, "mommy you have wrinkles here and here" (as she points to the spots) In case. How do you get your hair to cover the crows feet I haven't figured that out yet...if you do PLEASE let me know!

Ah kids... they always manage to point out your best bits. Mine like to constantly ask how old I am and then exclaim in a loud voice "37!!!! that soooooooooo old" LOL

We all have it. Let's call them character lines, shall we?

Thank goodness my girl is not into "character" lines yet; she's more interested in moles at this point. :)

LOL This is too cute! I recently saw a picture of a girlfriend on facebook. Had not seen her in years and thought...She has not got a single line on her forehead. Maybe I need botox!

PS Did you know you were the winner of my Penguin Luck GiveAway? Drop me a line when you have a second!

The picture is adorable! Don't even worry about it. My daughter has seven lines in her brow when she frowns and has since she was tiny. some say it's your destiny written there :)

Oh man. They're sure honest, aren't they? But stop it! You're too cute. Your profile pic doesn't do you enough justice!!! ;)
