Then and Now

Then: Listening to the Dave Matthews Band meant going to the show, drinking lots of beer, dancing, and lots of fun.
Now: Listening to DMB means watching the band perform on the Today show and watching the kids dance. Still lots of fun.

Check out 5 Minutes for Mom and Wordless Wednesday for more wordless photos.

That is awesome! DMB rocks and your kids have great taste in music too.

Love the theme! I think you may be onto something here. A new weekly meme?

Happy WW!

yeah, that sounds about right!
Although I just bought myself some more springsteen tickets for August, so I guess some things don't change that much ;)

Tee Hee!

Once upon a time I gave up my DMB tickets to be in a play. I could have been knee deep in drunk frat guys, instead I was neck deep in a Victorian frock and corset.

Sigh.

Aw! Very cute. My kids love dance parties, too.

I was close to seeing DMB in concert in 1999, but never made it. :(

Amazing how we change, isn't it ;-)
I'm at the point where I prefer it on TV with my kidlets as the entertainment 8-)

I love it! Luckily the little buggers are worth it, aren't we?

Love it! It means the same thing at our house. We call it "dada music" and the kids love it.

I guess you could file this under "the more things change, the more they stay the same!" Fun pics.

I tuned in to watch it too...And just think - watching from the comfort of your home with the kids dancing is a lot easier on the ears in terms of volume..Man, I sound like an old person :D

I like the idea of then and now. I remember when Dave Matthews used to come to my college to play frat parties and bars. Gee...am I dating myself here?

O yea! Been there!

Isn't it funny how drastically things change? But, it takes so much less effort to rock out at home-and no one cares if you're still in your pjs!

I just clicked on a link from your page 1 to this! I laughed so hard!!! LOVE your first picture!

I loved DMB but I never saw them live. I did however see many a Widespread Panic show. Back then (you know, way back in the 1990s) we didn't really carry around too many cameras, did we? I need to unearth some old photos! And whatever happened to WSP anyway?

You hit the nail on the head with this one! I often dance in the kitchen with the kids to the music of people I used to see live and I think--this is just as fun!
